Oculoplastic surgery, includes a wide variety of procedures that deal with the orbit (eye socket), eyelids, tear ducts, and the face.
It also deals with the reconstruction of the eye lids and associated structures, which is needed following significant facial trauma and/or treatment of lid and other facial cancers.Dr. Burger completed a 1 year of additional oculoplastic fellowship training within the United Kingdom following his ophthalmology training in South Africa.
Dr. Burger performs surgery for the following common conditions encountered: Entropion, ectropion, ptosis and eyelid tumors.
